The Story
WHO IS THEO
Theo Maynard is autistic, solo, and relentless. He built Unicorn Adventure from the desert floor up, trading struggle for sunrises and proving that adversity and beauty can live in the same frame. He’s photographed the American Southwest from Grand Staircase-Escalante to Bears Ears to Monument Valley. His Toyota 4Runner, Estes, has logged tens of thousands of miles of dirt roads, trailheads, and backcountry campsites most people never find. Theo’s story, battling depression, addiction, and an autism diagnosis he denied for years, isn’t a motivational poster. It’s raw, ugly in places, and completely real. That’s exactly why audiences connect with it. Through Unicorn Adventure he’s turned that story into a photography brand, a blog, a shop, and a platform for anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t fit in a world that wasn’t built for them.
